About the University of Economics and Law's Traditional Day:
Established on November 6th, 2000, the Faculty of Economics, under the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, served as the foundation for the University of Economics and Law. To commemorate our founding, UEL has designated November 6th annually as its Traditional Day. The occasion aims to connect generations of students while fostering a vibrant cultural and artistic playground that embodies the UEL spirit for both Vietnamese and international students.
Unveiling the "mystery" of UEL's Day 2024:
To maximize student participation, UEL typically schedules the Traditional Day events on weekends. While some years have conveniently aligned with weekend dates, UEL's Day 2024 this year takes place on November 3rd to accommodate this practice. Rest assured, the change does not compromise the UEL spirit!. The event promises a day filled with excitement, running from morning until late night, featuring a vibrant array of activities:
- 09:00 - 10:30: "Student of 5 Merits" Commendation Ceremony
- 10:30 - 15:00: Vietnam - Laos Festival & Cultural Stalls
- 15:00 - 17:00: UEL Mini Concert
- 17:00 - 18:00: Membership Admission Ceremony 2024 - 2025
- 18:30 - 22:00: Sting x Ravolution Music Festival
As part of the festivities, DCD hosted a dedicated stall for international students. Polish exchange students had the unique experience of preparing Vietnamese mango salad and crafting their refreshing Mojito, a globally popular cocktail. With its tangy lime, sweet sugar, refreshing mint, and fizzy soda, the Mojito served as a perfect complement to the lively atmosphere, creating a warm and enjoyable cultural exchange between UEL students and their international peers.
UEL’s Day 2024 will be remembered as an unforgettable celebration, leaving lasting impressions and memories for UEL-ers and international students alike!
