Seminar on “How To Maximize Opportunities on Erasmus+ projects, Horizon European Program & Polish Academic Exchange Programs” with Prof. Sylwia Krzyzek-Liburska, Krakow University of Economics, Poland

As the world moves towards international integration, making the most of opportunities from academic cooperation and exchange programs is essential for enhancing the quality of learning and teaching. With the desire to bring valuable and practical information, the University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City is honored to welcome and discuss with Prof. Sylwia Krzyzek-Liburska, from Krakow University of Economics on February 20, 2025.

 

 

  The reception was attended by Dr. Le Van Hinh, Head of Department of Cooperation and Development, and lecturers from the University of Economics and Law (UEL). Both sides discussed cooperation programs, including Erasmus+, Horizon European, and Polish Academic Exchange Programs. Prof. Sylwia Krzyzek-Liburska emphasized the opportunities and challenges faced in academia, as well as the tools and skills that can assist lecturers and students in maximizing their academic experiences, research endeavors, and exchange programs. This information is invaluable guidance for students who intend to thrive in a global academic environment.

 

 

At the beginning of the program, Prof. Sylwia Krzyzek-Liburska gave a brief introduction to the Krakow University of Economics (KUE). Established in 1925, KUE is the largest economic university in Poland and one of the top three institutions of higher education in Krakow. With extensive experience, the University currently has more than 200 partners worldwide, cooperating with other universities and organizations across Europe, America, and Asia. The Krakow University of Economics offers research programs entirely in English at both bachelor’s and master’s levels.

 

 

Continuing the seminar’s activities, Prof. Sylwia Krzyzek-Liburska introduced international cooperation projects, providing lecturers and students with a comprehensive understanding of the essential content and requirements. The discussion focused on three main topics:

 

  • Erasmus+ Projects: An overview of the Erasmus+ program and how students can take advantage of learning, internship, and research opportunities within its vast cooperation network.
  • Horizon European Program: Important information about funding sources, research fields, and the application process for financial support.
  • Polish Academic Exchange Programs: Academic and research opportunities in Poland through exchange programs open a new path forward for students to engage with the advanced academic environment.

 

  Following the seminar, Prof. Sylwia Krzyzek-Liburska shared: “I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the warm welcome I received at UEL. I was truly impressed by both the organization of the seminar and my overall visit”. Prof. Sylwia Krzyzek-Liburska also appreciated the opportunity to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, calling it a truly worthwhile experience, and extended special thanks to Khang for his efforts in making the excursion enjoyable. Looking ahead, she expressed enthusiasm for welcoming UEL representatives to Krakow in May and hoped that this seminar would pave the way for future collaboration between the universities through joint projects.

 

The meeting with Prof. Sylwia Krzyzek-Liburska concluded successfully, bringing new perspectives and great inspiration to UEL lecturers and students. The practical information and valuable experiences shared during the program will be a vital foundation for enhancing students’ confidence while participating in exchange programs and transnational education.
