As the world becomes increasingly interconnected and globalized, digital transformation has become not only a national priority but also a top agenda item for institutions across Vietnam. In pursuit of the Vietnamese Government's objective of digitizing higher education, the University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City is honored to be among the pioneering universities in Vietnam to implement the DIVE Project. We are also proud to host the project’s training workshop series, “Digital Education and Quality”, from November 25th to 28th, 2024.
About the DIVE Project:
The DIVE Project, or Digitalising Vietnamese Education Project, is a three-year Erasmus + initiative (2024-2027) aimed at fostering and supporting Vietnamese higher education institutions in delivering high-quality digital education. The project focuses on developing comprehensive digital transformation strategies, enhancing digital education capacities, and ensuring quality assurance in education.
With a total grant of a 794,524 Euro (approximately 21 billion VNĐ) from the European Commission, the project aims to achieve three main objectives:
• Empowering Vietnamese partner universities to lead digital transformation.
• Assisting in developing strategic digitalization plans for higher education institutions.
• Fostering network connectivity and digital culture to build the foundation for a robust Vietnamese higher education ecosystem.
About the training workshop series “Digital Education and Quality”:
Following the success of the "Digital Education as part of the Higher Education Portfolio" workshop series held at Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry in June 2024, UEL hosted a four-day training workshop series at the UEL Startup & Language Space in November 2024. This innovative venue blending modernity with a harmonious integration of nature and technology, exemplifies the project’s vision of a model institution for digital transformation and innovation.
In collaboration with Belgian and Spanish experts from the National University of Distance Education (UNED), the University of Alicante (UA), the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD Global), 11 project members engaged in discussions on the opportunities, challenges, and tools needed to support digital transformation.
