Seminar on "Expanding Scientific Collaboration & Student Exchange between the University of Economics and Law and Krakow University of Economics" with Prof. Filip Grzegorczyk

On February 18, the Faculty of Economic Law had the honor of welcoming Professor Filip Grzegorczyk, a scholar, lawyer, and manager with many years of experience in scientific research, teaching, and working at major corporations as a board member and director.

During the seminar, Professor Grzegorczyk presented his views on sustainable policies related to the European Union's European Green Deal. He provided an in-depth analysis of the institutional structure of the EU, financial costs, and the extent of state intervention in implementing these policies. These issues attracted the interest of lecturers, researchers, and postgraduate students, contributing to a lively and academically rich discussion.

This seminar is part of a series of regular academic events organized by the Faculty of Economic Law, aimed at creating opportunities for lecturers, researchers, and students to exchange ideas on the latest legal and economic issues. Through such events, knowledge is updated, and the quality of education, research, and community service is enhanced.

Expanding Cooperation in Student Exchange and Scientific Research

During his visit and work at the University of Economics and Law (UEL), Professor Grzegorczyk expressed his deep impression of the warm welcome from the faculty, staff, and especially the students of the university. He remarked, "I have been warmly welcomed by the faculty, administrative staff, and most importantly, by the students themselves."

He highly appreciated the active participation of scientists in the seminar, demonstrating their high level of expertise and extensive research capabilities. At the same time, he mentioned discussions on potential joint research projects and saw significant opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions. He also emphasized that Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Huyen Hien, the Vice Dean, is very interested in promoting scientific cooperation and is an experienced researcher with profound knowledge of the European context.

During his meeting with students, Professor Grzegorczyk discussed the possibility of studying at Krakow University of Economics (UEK) and listened to students’ aspirations for experiencing an international educational environment. He acknowledged that although study abroad costs could be a challenge, a well-structured exchange program could make this opportunity accessible for UEL students.

Moreover, he also praised the students of UEL for their eagerness to learn, discipline, and professional demeanor. He shared, "They are amazing young people—highly disciplined, cultured, and eager for knowledge and experience. I believe that a visit by UEK students to UEL would also be a great idea for development. Unlike Europe, Asia is developing rapidly, making such exchanges necessary."

Professor Grzegorczyk also shared his perspective on the potential collaboration between the two institutions: "I have full confidence in the academic and teaching quality at UEL. The university boasts a fantastic campus in the heart of a vibrant metropolis, providing a dynamic and modern learning environment. We need to further strengthen cooperation between the two sides for the benefit of both students and faculty."

At the conclusion of his visit, Professor Grzegorczyk reaffirmed the importance of expanding cooperation between the two universities, particularly in scientific research and student exchange. He expressed his desire to report to the UEK Board of Directors to further promote this partnership in the future, as he believes UEL is a university worthy of collaboration in both academic and educational aspects.
